Working from an alphabetical list of 500 of the greatest artists in history, I plan to create a piece in response to every one of them. I am also the Bent Objects project guy. This blog will serve as a place for me to experiment outside of that approach. Plus, I'm trying to have some fun.

Arcimboldo's Summer
Book lovers should check this one out. He was doing this in the 1500s, folks! Kudos to you, Giuseppe.

From the Mailbag
This blog has already paid off helping me kick-start my creative juices. My creativity was starting to lag because all of my ideas were being pushed through the filter of Bent Objects possibilities. It's really been quite incredible how my mind has opened up to new directions, and between this new blog, Bent Objects, my animated short, and planning an app, I've been incredibly productive.
Anyway, since I haven't had time to work on the next image in the book I'm working from, I've decided to choose an image from my mailbag which came in from a visitor here. She calls it "Finger-trap" for good reason, and the name of said responder is Ariel Allon. Ariel, you have a pretty cool name.
If you have a response to a masterpiece that you'd like to send me, please do. I'll probably be posting more of them. My email is HERE.

Phantom with Mask, Keral Appel, 1952
I only found 1 image of this work online, and it was taken of the page of the book that I use to respond to for this blog. Strange.
I decided to mix it in with a television movie that gave me many a nightmare when I was small.

Antonello da Messina
Saint Jerome in his Study
This painting just didn't interest me in the slightest. There will be some on
my list that will be like that I'm afraid.
And my response. Don't strain your eyes trying to spot the difference.
The good news is, I'm looking forward to the next.
