This blog isn't any more.

When I started thinking about starting this blog, people asked me to think seriously about it, because it was a big undertaking. I was convinced that it was something I wanted to do. But it no longer is (so I'll have to offer to give everyone's money back). It has served it's purpose in opening my eyes to some new directions, but these new directions need work and think time, so, after some thought, I've decided to stop posting here.

I hope you keep your eyes peeled (what a terrible saying) for some new work of mine which will be making it's way 'round the internet shortly.

Arcimboldo's Summer

Book lovers should check this one out. He was doing this in the 1500s, folks! Kudos to you, Giuseppe.

From the Mailbag

This blog has already paid off helping me kick-start my creative juices.   My creativity was starting to lag because all of my ideas were being pushed through the filter of Bent Objects possibilities.  It's really been quite incredible how my mind has opened up to new directions, and between this new blog, Bent Objects, my animated short, and planning an app, I've been incredibly productive.

Anyway, since I haven't had time to work on the next image in the book I'm working from, I've decided to choose an image from my mailbag which came in from a visitor here. She calls it "Finger-trap" for good reason, and the name of said responder is Ariel Allon. Ariel, you have a pretty cool name.

If you have a response to a masterpiece that you'd like to send me, please do. I'll probably be posting more of them. My email is HERE.

Phantom with Mask, Keral Appel, 1952

I only found 1 image of this work online, and it was taken of the page of the book that I use to respond to for this blog. Strange.
I decided to mix it in with a television movie that gave me many a nightmare when I was small.

Antonello da Messina

Saint Jerome in his Study

This painting just didn't interest me in the slightest. There will be some on
my list that will be like that I'm afraid.

And my response. Don't strain your eyes trying to spot the difference.

The good news is, I'm looking forward to the next.
